Okay I'm not even halfway down that page and I'm having second thoughts about giving ANY toys to my sons... especially since one of my sons absolutely loves to destroy anything he can get his chubby little hands on!

LadyMischief, I honestly don't understand how you can say that a webmaster comes up with a fetish. It's just common sense that if people are wanting to see this content, then they've been wanting to see it for a long time and there are more like them. If I liked balloons "in that way" I certainly wouldn't go telling anyone about it... but by god on the internet you can be anonymous and proudly proclaim your latex love on Geocities, and whaddya know, some other popper comes along and says "Hey, I like balloons that way too!" and pretty soon there's a little club of balloon lovers fighting over whether the poor things should be popped or not...
Just because a webmaster hasn't caught on to it and made a site about it doesn't mean it doesn't exist, or didn't exist before the site was made.
There are still THOUSANDS of fetishes out there that we haven't caught onto yet.

Shemp and Orgasmics just made XXXHair - does that mean that they've telepathically coerced a bunch of men into liking long hair, or does it simply mean they've made a site FOR men who ALREADY like long hair on a woman?

As for research - I don't put much into that. Sure, it's easy to document things like BDSM and leather - at times it was "elite" to be a little rough with your playmate (Marquis De Sade, anyone?) - and besides, people look cool in leather. But people look damn stupid in diapers - so who's going to run around in the 18th century demanding that the aristocrats put on big turd-catchers to tickle each other's fancy?
A fetish is an emotional response to a physical object - and those have been around as long as there have been people - documented or not.

To think otherwise is simply giving "webmasters" way too much credit, or getting a bit too pompous with your own ingenuity at discovering fetishes.
