Get yourself a japanese language pack installed and take a look at some of those listings, you can see both japanese and engrish on the results pages at Google JP
The only 'real' difference (my understanding) of how pages are displayed is that its a different language, everything else works the same way that a regular US site would, unless you start working with languages like Arabic, etc where the reading direction is changed.
