About the restaurant service being slow - that's just a cultural difference. Whereas Americans go to a restaurant to eat, Europeans go more for the conversation and the social aspect of it. We're known to spend a couple of hours just talking at the table after finishing our meal.
I'm assuming the club you went to was an FKK, right? Bunch of those in Switzerland too.
