August : $8
Sept: $49 <- replaced meter in mid Sept.

The $8 is the minimum they charge (its actually like $8.19). I explained to them that in early June, I had my AC replaced with a new energy efficient one and did the same with my refrigerator. However, they are looking at estimates from LAST year with the old equipment was was $160+ a month and plus June and July was really hot.

They said they are charging me $137.43 for July and August, $46.73 for June (because they think this is when it broke) and $95.32 for September for an average usage of $145.63/mo

Here is the fucked up part... since they replaced the meter in mid September, my average usage is approx $3.12 per day... thats $93 a month!

After fighting with them for the last 30 minutes, they "adjusted" my bill according to the $93/mo and they can't "credit" me the difference of what they charged me ($270+, plus what they havent charged me yet for the partial months) so they will credit my account with over $200.

Fucking WOW, I cant believe they are allowed to operate like this. They said they even compare usage to other apartment units near by. Most are occupied with families with kids who obviously use more.

Never dull...
Not sure what you see as totally unfair. Am I missing something.
You got it adjusted to 93 a month. They also checked comps of units near by. Yeah a family may use more overall electricty but say AC wise - about the same.
