The majority of you are still selling content and doing direct sales to people.
IE: Build a website that has content, sell something through banners and links. A trend that has been dieing all over the Internet, YEARS before Tubes came around.
I look back at our Industry and I see people design better, but still build the exact same thing as we did, 2, 5, and 10+ years ago. Just because the quality of the content has improved, doesn't mean - we have advanced forward.
Free porn STILL drives us, it STILL can produce godly amounts of sales. The thing is 90% of you are trying to sell people, on methods PROVEN not to work anymore. It's why TV, Magazine, Newspapers, etc sales / ads, buying power is down.. They sell - the same way we do.
People STILL generate 100's into the 1000's of sales a day. But they aren't doing it with 10 year old marketing techniques.
Edit: One last thing.... 80's porn was published on VHS, 70's in magazines, DVD's came in, 90's Interent, mediums changed again... It's almost 2010, what do you think most people missed?

I agree that newspapers and magazines have lost (and continue to lose) sales to the internet, and it's obvious why this has happened.
Online porn, losing sales because of online porn, is a completely different reality, and has happened almost entirely from within.
