Biggest problem imo is credit cards. With CC companies continuing to increase rates and take in credit lines, folks just arent buying as much. Simple as that.
For me, the fall has been better than the summer. June was my worst, Sep my best. Oct started off ok but the last 5 days have indeed been very bad.
Posted was not happy with CCbill a while back but lately I have got some signups and the ratio is a bit better again.
One of my sponsors who I always get several sups a month has had about the same number of submits this month on the same traffic (uses Nats 4 which is why I know, btw - I now rate Nats 4 way higher that Nats 3 just on that statistic alone, I regress) but no joins. Which tells me obviously it is not the surfer not wanting to buy memberships but not ABLE to buy memberships.
The surfer wants to sign up but for some reason cant. I suspect, as others with more resources than me have eluded to, this is the industry's biggest problem right now: processing / banking /cc's/ tranfership of funds.
The bright spot? I believe people DO want to buy. They are more picky. But they still WANT to buy if the processers, economy, cc companies ect were cooperating.
