Forget the video... No camera does a great job of vid & you shall certainly not find it true hd.
Id go for the canon out of the samsung kids toy or the canon though

Agreed! Leica lens are fantastic! I have a Canon 400d for pics and a canon xm2 for film. Also to use is a small panasonic 3ccd with a leica lens. The point im making is, the leica lens makes its a good comparison to the canon and about 1 third of the price. Leica is A1 quality.
