Just wanted to chime in on how things are going with Certified so far. I had to find a new host recently and spent at least a good 3 days to a week weighing my options and reading reviews.. I turned down a lot of great hosts for certain reasons and I think I've narrowed down the best one.
Pricing
They have some rock bottom prices IMO, I think there is a deal running right now $3.97/mo, $53.70 for an entire year of hosting, and not to mention it is UNLIMITED space, UNLIMITED bandwidth, domains, databases, etc. Of course there are the sayings 'if something looks too good to be true it probably is' or 'you get what you pay for', but I've had far worse hosting experiences with hosts charging many many times more. The great thing is you can start small and cheap and upgrade later all the way up to managed/unmanaged dedicated servers if you need to, and in the meantime the quality of your hosting is the same all the way through.
Support
I have connected to their live chat support at all times of the day and night, 4am, 5pm, noon, you name it, it's never been down. They've helped with everything I've thrown at them and I'm always out of there with my problem resolved in a matter of minutes. The only thing I could think of complaining about in the support area is sometimes having to wait 1-2min for tech support to become available, which isn't really anything to complain about anyways. I haven't had to make a phone call yet but if I ever do I think it would go pretty well.
Uptime
I'm constantly downloading and opening files, editing them and reuploading, sometimes doing this all day like 5-10 times a minute and never once did I get interrupted by some downtime besides the occasional normal server restart that takes a minute or so.
Speed
Downloaded a full backup of my account recently and it was averaging 1.2mb/sec! Upload speeds are at 250kb/sec, which is also great. This is all with a cheapass virtual hosting account. A lot of hosts you will see download speeds like 100-200kb/sec or even complete crap like 50kb/sec. This is faster than the dedicated I used to pay $400/mo for. In this case the only thing possibly limiting my speed would be my own internet connection.
Options
It comes with all the usual scripts and website building tools that you don't use (well I never have anyway), as well as a cpanel and phpmyadmin, but you also get support for things like ffmpeg and mencoder, which you need if you're planning on running a tube.
Hope that clears any questions up people might be searching for while looking for a host. I'm not trying to spam so I'll include with/without ref links.
