Wow... I am speechless. Really. Think about it. Pretend 2000 and 2001 have a value of 1, WHICH THEY DO IN TERMS OF DECADES but bear with me. So that means 1+1=2 not 1. Now follow me and I will apply the same values to the remaining years.
1. 2000=1
2. 2001=1
3. 2002=1
4. 2003=1
5. 2004=1
6. 2005=1
7. 2006=1
8. 2007=1
9. 2008=1
10. 2009=1
1x10=10(decade)
If we were to follow your brilliant logic we would have 11 year decades(2000-2010).

See avatar... It's no longer just a way of life, it is a disease.
