I'm currently looking at migrating a couple of my standard servers to a super low power Atom cluster. I've worked out the payback period (capital cost of upgrading is covered by savings in electricity) is about 2-3 years, less if I can sell off the existing equipment for a few bucks. I would ask MrMaxwell if he's interested but the oldest CPU I have here is a Q6600, circa 2007.
