Well it was fun embarrassing The Doc. I think he reached the peak of his stupidity so moving on.. So no, no it doesn't. Our parents generation which didn't have the internet and relied on books is a hell of a lot more literate and intelligent than our generation. The new generation of teenagers who spend their lives on social networks is pretty much the dumbest of the 20th century. It's safe to say after we reached our peak in the 50s and 60s, it's been going to shit ever since.

Not sure why you think this. Crime is down. Learning is up. Birth rate is down. Quality of life is a lot higher as far as I can tell in that houses are bigger, tv's etc. People have more shit.

Crime is certainly not down, learning is certainly not up, birth rate is certainly not down, where are you getting this? And what you're talking about is inflated wealth, NOT real wealth, and technological improvement which is a logical progression. HARDLY an argument for our society being better.

Have you talked to people who were alive in the 70's? Did you see the 80's? They were not wonderful open times.

Absolutely, and they think society has gone to shit. They loved their 70s and 80s. They loved the intellectual stimulation through books, spending days outside doing random activities. Not like today where it's social networks and obesity.
