Yeah and you can lose even more fat by combining the two. Cardio is the foundation for everything, it exercises the most important muscle of all, YOUR HEART! It also raises your metabolism, burns fat, (especially if you do it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach) it gives you more endurance when weight lifting, it gives you more general energy, it increases dopamine, (runners high) etc. I've been bulking for 3 years now and I still do cardio 3 times a week. 3 years ago I was 160lbs, now I'm almost 220lbs under 13% BF.
I've broken a lot of plateaus by increasing my cardio sessions. Friends of mine can be benching 315lbs or 225lbs but only be able to do it 4-5 times, they have the strength but they do NO cardio which leaves them out of shape with no endurance.
So, DO CARDIO YOU LAZY BASTARDS!
