Cardio increases the fat burning just during the time you make it. And not even the first 10-15 minutes and if you have eaten carbs any time during the day, you will be losing them and muscle for energy, no fat. You need to be in ketose to lose fat and you won't get in ketose with eating carbs, at least a lot of them. If you do, you can do cardio every day for 2 hours and all you will lose is water and muscle. Cardio is fat burning myth for women, but at least a good one when looking at their other diets, which are pretty much retarded.
btw working out raises your metabolism for 24-48 hours after the excercise. Cardio pretty much just for the time you do it.
