I read on a book about a Russian torture where the make the person swallow one end of a towel, and the other end hangs outside their mouths. The following day, when it's half digested, they pull it out and it pull the internal layer of the stomach with it.
Not sure if it's real or not, but it impressed the heck out of me, eek!
