Interesting - Water, well Ice was found on the moon.
The probes that impacted have shown that their is actually huge chunks of ice on the moon. (perhaps thats why he left, OK someone had to make the joke)
This would be pretty major. Ice means water, water means Hydrogen and Oxygen which means they can create a form of rocket fuel from. Fuel would be important to be able to not only use it to travel, but to melt the ice. It is in a very cold area that stays cold. Transporting a way to melt it up there with fuel would of been prohibitive. Having the resource to make fuel though means we will begin to colonize soon. They even said "when we go to the moon", not "if".
Makes me very curious if there would be any potential for life on the moon. Not shit that moves around but stuff trapped in the ice of a microscopic nature. Especially since most scientists agree that the moon was made from debris from the Earth when another planet collided with Earth and shattered both. Many of the scientists guesstimate that the Earth had already cooled when it got into the planetary wreck and considering that the ice on the moon would of had to come from either debris from one of three sources. Earth, the other planet that shattered, or a comet/meteor that hit the moon.
Oh expect more news around 9am PST or it could be EST. I am pretty tired.
