No, instead she draws even more attention to the cover, which she knows is flattering, and sighs as if to say "gosh darn it, I just can't help it if some people think I'm hot - I mean, just because I don't know if Africa is a continent doesn't mean I shouldn't be taken seriously as a politician too."
Palin is the epitome of narcissim and always has been. Let's remember, she was also a former beauty pagent contestant, and that $150,000 was spent on her VP wardrobe.
Spare us the false outrage, and quit with the continuous begging for sympathy.
The fact remains, despite her self-serving book, that Palin cost the Republican party whatever shot they had at the White House, and that while she can energize the far-right wing of the Republican party, and perhaps some ignorant independents, the polls still show, that she is an extremely polarizing figure, and that her opponents far exceed her supporters.
Sarah Palin really should stick to becoming a talking head on TV reading queue cards, beacuse I would really be afraid to have her as a Commander In Chief.

She comes off to me like someone who is not prepared for the questions that will be asked of her, then when she says or does something dumb, she blames everyone but herself. It is always the "media" and "pundits" attacking her and the "real Americans" .
There has been some great pieces in recent days where the McCain campaign has been releases emails that show direct contradiction to what she says in her book.
A few of them were that she says they tried to bill her 50K for the vetting process when she because the VP nominee. Of course it was just the opposite, she was trying to get them to pay her legal bills for her troopergate scandal. She also says it was her idea and she was all for going on Saturday night life and that she liked and respected the cast, when the truth is that she had to be convinced to do it and hates the cast.
I'm sure there will be many more to come.
