We went swimming with dolphins in Isla Mujeres (Mexico) a few weeks ago. We got the 1 hour package where you get to spend the whole 60 minutes with a mommy dolphin and her offspring (about 1 year old), and it was the experience of a lifetime.
We ordered the tape ($100, eek!) but for some reason they couldn't deliver it on time so we're still waiting on it. No, we won't pay for it until we have it in our hands
A friend of ours who is a vet recommended this specific place called Garrafon Park in the island of Isla Mujeres, because she does freelance for them there and says the animals are extremely well taken care of and have the most freedom possible.
so if you ever happen to be in the Cancun area and are looking to do something special with these amazing creatures, opt for Garrafon Park; not only is it an amazing living aquarium but they offer activities that no other place does. And then again, the dolphins are well taken care of.
