This is an industry of mercenaries. Even more so when the chips are down. The sooner that people realize this, the better.
That said, for those that this everyone is on the same page... you need to hit a few conferences. The messages you typically get there, in public and private, will be much different then the "cum-bahy-ya" shit you read on the boards.
I love when a program says one thing at almost every conference, then talks about 'we the people" on the boards. Like their goals and priorities are for the affiliates they are working on cutting out. Or that they even consider the interest of the industry on the whole when they only focus on the bottom line only.
Truly priceless comedy.
However, it is fact of the matter. Once you realize how different the
BROgrams priorities are from the small to medium companies, or affiliate model. The better off you will be.
