I agree. Not too long ago I got an email from a guy I hadn't seen since I was a kid. The last time I saw him I was about 12 and he was 10 or 11. Back then he wasn't too bright, but it has been a long time. I'm no exaggerating when I say that 3 out of every 4 words in the email were spelled wrong. He even misspelled the name of the city he had grown up in. Another case would be my brother's son. He is a Junior in high school and probably reads and writes at about a 4th or 5th grade level, but the school just keeps passing him on.
