If he's able to do it all himself or actually has some weight to throw around to make sure things get done, sure, but just another guy wanting to get into the DVD market, good luck.

Normally I would agree with you; however, I looked at his content and I feel it would do pretty well on broadcast.
If he was to find a large disributor they would help him get a good broadcast deal
The DVDs sales would probably just break even these days after you add in the cost of printing, box cover design, replication, and shipping.
