The flu is overhyped, the fear of the shot is overhyped, everything is overhyped, but not getting shots before going to S.E Asia and Africa is on another level. That's pretty careless. A friend of mine just came back with positive test results for Schistosomiasis after visiting Africa, not that there is a vaccine for it but you do have to be incredibly careful, get bloodwork done after coming back, get shots etc.
