The prize money is just a carrot to feed the skeptic members their common interest, abuse of 'psychics'. It's to mock people. Skeptics are the most unscientific, lazy, abusive cult on the planet. It's all a game to see who can refute a psychic claim is the fewest words with the funniest anecdote. Their motto "critical thinking" is an oxymoron that means close your mind more than anything. Their only scientific method is laymens psychoanalysis, and the occasional water divining test for show.
