My tires typically last as long as they are supposed to. I just hit Big O and let them hook me up. I like their warranty and what they offer along lines of rotation, flat repair, etc.
Do not have to worry about winter tires here though. It rarely gets icy and when it does chains work fine since it is rare.
I do not go with what is the most cheap either. Just go for the ones that are mid range, have a great warranty.
Though I am anal in a way so when I get new tires I must buy 5 tires.
