don't forget the flash chat server cost

I found a place that offered a chat program like you describe, it sounded great and the price was reasonable. That was until I red the server requirements, it said we needed to have a web server that had licensed flash streaming modules, and I am pretty sure the places I found ran upwards of $500 per month just for that - and I wasn't ready to get into something that cost that much per month just starting out..

if that is in your budget I will look into my bookmarks and try to find it for you..

I seen rumors of some kind of open source fee flashchat server recently - but can't remember exactly where I saw that either.

Either way getting into video chat is going to hit you bandwidth and server hard, even without the flash part - and having more than 50 simultaneous video chatters will choke a lot of systems - fyi
