Contact Amazon the company you purchased the item from, they are resposible making sure you get the item you ordered. They use UPS, FedEx, and USPS to ship. Amazon needs to do the trace on the item, and if there is an issue contact the company they used to deliver it. If you get involved you just might complicate things.
I know that UPS usually makes 3 attempts to deliver a package, if they can't get a signature they will send it back as not deliverable. Amazon once sent a book to my PO Box...the people at the PO were not responsible enough to make sure they put the slip in my box. So we call amazon telling them we never received the book, so they send out another book the same day to my jobs address UPS. They did not charge us again...but we did end up with 2 books.
