The site that godaddy shut down wasn't a hacking site. It stores archives of posts to mailing lists and is a legit website.
That would be akin to shutting down gfy because someone posted a password list in a post. But if you're not an evil pornographer what do you have to worry about?
That is why I moved 70+ domains from godaddy a couple years ago and they've lost my business for every domain since then.
