Ummmm... no. I am talking about REAL science. It does exist.
In about 5 million years the sun will have burnt through its hydrogen leaving mostly helium behind which it too will begin rapidly consuming. It will then go through a red giant phase where the core suddenly, and suddenly for a star is a bit different than it is for us, will collapse. At this time the atmosphere or outer layers will expand and cool. Once a red giant it continues to expand as the core continues to contract, fusing the remaining helium atoms into carbon atoms. Once the core stabilizes the outer layers will drift off into space thus exposing the core. It will continue to cool and shrink over time, ending its days as a white dwarf approximately the size of Earth.
During its transformation into the red giant it will consume the inner planets Mercury and Venus. We may suffer this fate too, although even if we don't it will burn everything leaving only a dead rock.
