It's highly unlikely that he doesn't know this. its possible. but highly unlikely. that's the interesting paradox of his behavior. on one level, he know's he's desperately sick and needs help. however, admitting that he's mentally ill and taking steps to get help also means abandoning what is a very pleasant self identity that he's created for himself. ... now, he is no longer a fat loser with no friends, no love of family and no love in life... but God. He's now the smartest man alive. He's the original son of God. He's a super genius etc. He has psychic powers.
The moment he begins to confront his mental illness, is the moment that all comes crashing down and he's just some useless turd in a shack in the Australian outback.
Its a natural response of the human mind to protect your own sense of self. You embrace the positive... ignore (for the most part), the negative. You embrace ideas you want to believe. You ignore ideas that contradict what you want to believe. If you're fat, you will have less mirrors in the house, wear sweat pants and keep lying to yourself because it's easier than confronting the truth. He isn't strong enough to confront his problems, so he allows them to control him.
He also realizes he can't really reconcile all of his claims. Hes the smartest guy alive according to him... but he paid 350,000.00 for a domain - where he later admits he has no clue what to do with it, and is now broke for example. The son of God and most attractive man on the planet is a fat slob living in poverty in Australia begging for the attention of some skeptics to "prove" he's got "paranormal powers".
The harder you pressure him to account for contradictions in his statements and his behavior, the more erratic/irrational he will become because you are not attacking a single point in a debate. You are attacking his own self identity which he knows is not real and he seems to be willing to defend that at any cost or risk a full meltdown.
