I'm guessing he was diagnosed a long time ago, probably in his early to mid 20's. He was probably prescribed heavy duty meds that he either refused to take or took for a short while until he felt better and then stopped AMA. His family has probably given up on him due to his inability to compromise in any rational manner.
His irrationality and complete lack of ability to cope with reality has left him alone with no one willing to lend the support he so desperately needs.
He gets through the holidays wrapped in his nice warm blanket of delusions he has so intricately woven around his fragile ego.
But wtf do I know. For as accurate as I may be, I may as well have randomly pulled my answers from a medical text on paranoid schitzophrenia via channeling.
