Perhaps I should point out that I'm not actually from the UK. I merely abhor willful ignorance and anti-intellectualism.
That thing in your skull, your brain, isn't just there for decoration. Not using it isn't a reason for pride, it's a reason for shame.
No matter how much you dislike it, being ignorant isn't a good thing - something you're fully aware of, since you felt the need to point out several times that YOU of course do know where the UK is.
