Matter of fact I would say that if a person is planning on going to Internext then they SHOULD buy the badge because it will get them to the parties (which is where the most business takes place) and as I said...the center bar at The Palms is damn expensive.
All I'm saying is that the Show Floor is not worth the money at all. So in my humble opinion AVN should get some more real value for people to attend. Last year was just really, really bad. It was like a ghost town at The Palms.
Part of that is the economy of course. But that just means that you guys are going to have to step it up to give it more value. Hopefully you did that and we'll all see it in Jan.
Now that I live here in Vegas, I can flat tell you that there are a LOT better places to do this at than The Palms. If it were my show we'd be doing it on Fremont St. and staying at The Gold Nugget. Rooms, drinks, shows...EVERYTHING is much less expensive and the enclosed Fremont St. with all the casinos and bands playing and walking from club to club with drinks is MUCH funner than the Strip or The Palms. But that's just my observation.

Robbie let me just jump back in here and say this. And this isn't directed intrinsically at you, but to those who would blatantly show up at an organized event such as Internext, as a non-paying participant.
Try to relate this to what you do for a living. If you run a paysite, you know that the attitude you dislike the most is the one where the potential customer says it's not worth it to join a paysite any longer, that they can get what they want from a tube site. I'm sure you see the parallel lines here. You work hard on your paysites, and certainly don't expect people to take advantage of all that hard work by viewing it on another site for free.
Personally, I would be embarassed to show up at any webmaster event without having paid my entrance fee to the organizers.
