I was thinking about the fate of the universe while listening to Beyonce Halo, and these lyrics stood out...
"gravity can't forget, to pull you back to the ground again".
So it looks like the Universe will end in a big crunch. I don't understand inflationary theory, apparently when the Universe is below a certain density the effect of gravity is too weak, I thought it was inversely proportional to distance times mass and would always have an effect.
