This kind of stupid comment doesn't help the situation.
This is a clear cut case of sponsor should pay affiliate, and has been advised on MUCH earlier pages by a few people myself included, he should just issue legal proceedings for the recovery of the money.
Shoehorn has largely conducted himself correctly (I understand why he feels the need for the anti dirty d websites, but don't think they necessarily help him and could backfire) and bringing in unrelated matters like that underage case (which I believe was never proven if you research) is only going to diminish the legitimacy of the issue which is that dirty d owes a debt and is not paying it. Beginning, middle and end of story.
Legal action will get the debt paid. This thread will
not get the debt paid. and longer it goes on less chance the debt will be paid. We have learnt from this thread that the vast majority of sponsors and affiliates and bystanders that have expressed an opinion support shoehorn 100%. I am sure there are also people aside from the few who have atteptd suicide in the thread that support dirty d, who agree he has a point "morally" but have wisely decided to keep quiet about it and instead are busily modifying their own TOS to cover their asss from this issue in the future.
Dirty d could have easily turned this into a win, but missed many opportunities. Now he should be thinking about how to reduce his loss, and maybe next time choosing his "PR representation" on different criteria.
This all said, how about this for a solution.....
To prove his issue is based on principle and not just on screwing affiliates of the money, dirty d should donate the sum owing to the webmaster's toy run, and there should be a reimburse shoehorn fund set up that I for one would contribute to and I am sure many more would.
