No one goes into a business, investing practically all of their own time and money, without the expectation that they will succeed.
Sometimes unanticipated outside forces adversely affect you. When that happens, you stand up, brush yourself off, re-examine your strategy, and try to conduct yourself in a way which can yield a better outcome the next time.
From my view, Scott has been brutally honest. He did not have to expose his foibles for all to dissect and subject him to ridicule. On the contrary, he has provided a cautionary tale for all, and has taken responsibility for the consequences of his actions.
Fighting back, and receiving redemption, self-vindication, and the rewards of your efforts, are the main reason real entrepreneurs continue to strive, when lesser people would have already thrown in the towel.
