there are some key facts which you, and those like you simply refuse to accept:
1) the people protesting are not the threat.
2) those a the people in power are the threat. those people control the military, the resources of a nation, the money and so on.
3) much of the world sympathizes with those who dislike their government in Iran... but uhm... thats also been the case for decades as well, so its not like the world is going to shape its Iran policy based on protest numbers.
