In 3 years of using Moniker I've only had to contact support once and had a timely response regarding a question I had about the moniker API. I've moved, transferred and sold hundreds of domains and never had an issue with them that needed contacting support.
I also never needed to contact godaddy during the time I used them, but their POS control panel makes me cry. Moniker's control panel is simple and to the point. I dont need any ajax BS to manage my domains thankyouverymuch. With godaddy, buying a domain is an adventure in to ajaxland. It's pretty annoying.
Fyodor's issues (
http://nodaddy.com/mystory.html ) with godaddy were enough for me to move all my domains. I was a subscriber to Seclists.org at that time and saw the whole thing go down. I just don't feel like owning a bunch of adult names and have them deactivated because someone complains to GD or buying whois privacy and have my identity be revealed at the first threatening email to them. I know it's starting to sound like I work for Moniker, but I really dont, I'm just a happy customer, so far. I'm not saying its gonna last forever but so far so good.
