While the ship does have internet (never said it didn't) I'm sure he logs on to check stats and emails. However the internet at sea is uber slow, I tried accessing GFY last year when we all went on a cruise and with all the flash on here, it ate up a lot of the my time (and I paid $75 for 30 min access) loading GFY took nearly 10 min.
Shoehorn knows where I stand on this, I'm not fighting a fight that isn't mine, Dirty D is a big boy, he can handle his own biz when he gets back. What I find comical are all the people NOT involved in this matter spewing hate and insisting he pays Shoehorn now. Damn people, if you were on a cruise to the Virgin Islands with Candi Apple, would you spend your time on the internet?

You know I love you Jenni, and I hope that Dirty D is paying you well, because what you are trying to do is above and beyond the call of duty.
Not to quibble, but I bolded a few sections of your post which don't quite add up for me.
I understand that to the extent you can, you are trying to defuse things, starting with probably the simplest one, paying Shoehorn.
You state above that the ship
does have internet, which is as I suspected. However, here is what Dirty D wrote:

The emphasis on the word NOT is by Dirty D.
However it was proven that not only did he have internet access (as I suspected, having taken cruises myself), but that he had even logged into GFY.
In your post you continue:

I assumed you would be a nice enough person to thank Dirty D for taking you all on a cruise, so I searched your nick and "cruise" in the GFY search engine, as well as I took a peek at the page where you post pix of your Dirty D adventures (AWG), and it appears the trip you are referring to was over two years ago (Oct. 2007).
Why I mention this at all is that rates have gone down significantly over the years, and even you knew, possibly as much as two years ago, that most cruise ships (especially those that make 7+ day cruises) are internet equipped.
It seemed like a pretty lame excuse for Dirty D to use to avoid the controversy he was only then knee deep in. I assume it's safe to venture to say that he is now neck deep, since the issues subsequent to the Shoehorn pay issue are of an even more serious nature.
If I were Dirty D, and was taking the PR pounding he is, I would have at least spent a little time to address the mounting accusations and issues about him and his program. Afterall, he apparently was logged into GFY, and any internet business related expenses that he would have incurred would be tax deductible.
His silence appears as little more than a smokescreen. As you and I know, in PR, perception is reality in the minds of the public (I spent many years in the PR/marketing trenches).
And since you asked...

If it was my business taking big hits, you bet I would spend some time on the internet straightening things out ASAP. That's part of the price of being a business owner.
Anyway, I do like and respect you, and in fact would like to meet and discuss some business with you in the not too distant future (Q1), so I'll let it go for now, by acknowledging what you said, that indeed Dirty D is a big boy, and he should settle this himself upon his return (if not before then), and I would like to add that he should be a big man, and pay Shoehorn the money that the consensus (including Program owners, not just trolls, lol) overwhelming confirmed, Shoehorn has earned legitimately (followed by changing the HIGR affiliate rules).
