Unfortunately for you, the truth is INCORRECT.
You see, when a user signs up for the site, the email goes into the system, when they try to signup with that same email again, it's denied. Same with the API.
So your scenario is incorrect, you can change everything about the account, username, password, location, everything, the account creation will be denied because the email is already in the system.
Don't believe me? Hit up Jayvis from DG, he'll gladly send you documents on how the API works and the fact that it spits out errors when you attempt to signup the same email over and over.
