With locally higher amounts as high as 30 inches... Are expected. Snowfall rates of 3 to 5 inches per hour... Accompanied by thunder and lightning... Are possible during the height of the storm overnight. Wind gusts of up to 50 mph are also expected... Which along with the heavy snow will reduce visibilities to under a quarter mile at times... And cause significant blowing and drifting of snow.
