If I got the AR to mainly target shoot I would get it chambered in 7.62 x 39 (because its 3 x cheaper to shoot)
If I got an AR to kill or hunt out to 250 yards I would get it in .308.
If I wanted to shoot shit out at 600 yards i wouldn't get an AR  (i'd get a nice bolt action magnum) |
I'll be sure and post the targets for you.
When you're spending 2.5k+ on a custom build, you tend to get above average results.
MOST people will never shoot this distance but most people don't compete either.
