Humans are generally inclined to rely on inductive reasoning, turning single observations into entire "theories". So it's not that odd for him to think this way - most people use a similar kind of flawed reasoning, just look at all the reactions to
dystonia girl.
And this particular thought isn't really all that odd, since there actually are
lots and lots of substances that can cause impotence. Amino acid supplements, however, aren't likely to belong among them.
