I've built a few of my own and have pushed some traffic to them with decent results. A lower price point works as a site owner, as someone mentioned that might not seem ideal for affiliates. Using the redirects is just one way of marketing these sites...so that's another thing to keep in mind.
I am expanding the concept and will probably accept affiliate traffic, but I would imagine in order to make it attractive to people I will have to give a nice % of the sale.
Topbucks has some nice stuff, as does RevShareIt.
