Harold Ramis says Ghostbusters 3 in 2011!

Harold Ramis (Egon from Ghostbusters) recently caught up with Heeb Magazine where he updated the status of Ghostbusters 3. According to the director/producer/actor, we could be seeing the new team of ectoplasm hunters as soon as 2011. "Something?s going to happen," Ramis told Heeb. "Dan [Aykroyd] did write a spec GB3 screenplay a few years ago, but no one was motivated to pursue it. Now, 25 years after the original, there seems to be some willingness to proceed and apparently a substantial public appetite for a sequel. We?ll introduce some new young Ghostbusters, and all the old guys will be in it, too. Think Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future ... GB3 is progressing with plans to shoot next summer and release in 2011." Sigourney Weaver has been throwing curveballs as of late, but if there were one person to trust, it would be Ramis. Holy crap I can't wait for 2011!
