Personally I dont take work from those who dont want to pay up front, they usually end up ripping you off in the end. It goes both ways. My clients pay in advance, in full, because they know it will get done. People who think like you above are the ones who usually try to rip designers off. Why? I have clients that pay me in full bfore even sending me the work order, and theres no way I would ever put their project ahead of someone who doesnt understand that deposits are there for a reason. Putting down designers who accept deposits the way you did above is to cover something or try and get over on the designer.
Oh and Choker is one client who pays me large sums before work is done and then just tells me what he needs as he needs it, over the course of months. LOL
You get what you pay for.
