I watched someone die of cancer, my stepfather went from wearing a XL shirt to a med when he died. It was tough to take, but I was there everyday making sure that my folks had anything they needed. I lived near them at the time.
The weird thing I noticed was how everyone changed around him during his sickness and decline. I think if you do this, clear the air with her and see exactly what she expects, then make up your mind if you can live with it

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
