When it comes to kids, common sense is never in their line of sight. I have 4 kids, girls ages 26 and 12 and boys ages 20 and 16, and not one of the older ones developed any common sense about them a all until they were much older. My 16 yr old right now thinks he is invincible, althugh he is starting to pull out of it to some degree, he is still a teenager and they ALL think they are invincible for a good little while.
The problem is, you not only have to talk to YOUR kids, but you have to pray their friends parents have talked to THEM... and most times they haven't.
