It is a proven fact that when you cut government programs, lower taxes and keep wages in check that businesses GROW, which creates more jobs, which creates more spending, which generates more taxes.
Why are these concepts so hard to understand?
No system is perfect, but the United States did not become the most powerful nation in the history of mankind based on free handouts and socialism programs.

The cost of living might go up in part because of increased taxes but also because of increased greed. Every quarter every major company has to post increased profits to keep stockholders happy which is impossible to keep up, so they make things cheaper (ie foreign labor, cheaper materials) and charge people more for them. Eventually they will have nowhere to go..
I love the States and I am not in favor of handouts and yes, there is a lot of government fat that can be trimmed although I do feel some social programs are very important. Its real easy to make the government the scapegoat for everything but lowering taxes will not fix the problem. With the debt the way it is its nearly impossible to do so and every president that has lowered taxes ended up raising taxes in some way down the road.
Pure and simple third world labor vs America/EU labor just can't compare. Its an unfair playing ground in which a lot of big US/EU companies are taking advantage of. This is something never seen before in history so any compairisons to the industrial revolution are meaningless.
