I know what you mean. I googled and checked the flags, places from Great Britain, The UK and England. I prefer & have always thought of our flag as the UK flag. The red white and blue. If we go abroad in a boat you sail with the red white and blue flag. The England flag is just a red cross on white.
I have always noticed on questionairres in websites. The country is always United Kingdom.
Its a personal preference thing. But hey, nice to know your opinions
