I'm not really familiar w/ the laws in Thailand but I know it's hard to get quality content on a regular basis from there. As for the PI it's a mess. The only law on the books is OLD and says it's illegal to open a store selling porn mags. This law is pre-internet, pre-dvd, and even pre-VCR!!! There's no impetus to challenge it all the way up to the supreme court to get a clear ruling b/c it's cheaper to pay the bribes. The government agencies making the bribes sure as hell don't want this cleared up. They use the grey area of the law to buy themselves a warrant, come in on a raid and threaten to take all your computers as "evidence". Yeah, you can fight it and likely get your stuff back but you're operation is basically shut down for six months or more. BUT once you do pay you'll never stop. Worse if you pay the NBI then the CIDG (criminal investigations detective group or something like that) comes knocking b/c they heard you paid out. Then the PNP (Philippine National Police) comes knocking. It goes on and on!
