Avatar: What a rip off. What HACK made this?

Some of you will agree, others may not.

For the $ 300,000,000 or $ 400,000,000 it cost to make this CARTOON, First off...

When this HACK wrote the concept for this script over 10-15 years ago, did he have to RIP OFF every other great Sci Fi movie made in the past 15 years and embed it into his film...thinking that the audience wouldn't notice???

For all the MONEY invested, couldn't they come up with something NEW??? MY GOD?? There are millions of writers out there....

Can't they come up with new visuals or new concepts???

What am I writing about?

Here are just a few of the stolen items in Avatar from other movies:

1) The very start of the film, soldiers coming out of hyper sleep, ready to go to work / fight:
Concept stolen from Alien & Alien 2.

2) The single man walking machines used in battle:
Visual and design stolen from Alien 2 AND The Matrix 2 and 3.

3) Flying Dragons and riding on them, gee, so many movies to choose from there.... how about Episode III Star Wars, didn't Obi Wan ride around on one also? And as for the Dragons, Lord of the Rings looked really familiar watching this hack cartoon.

4) As for the concept of the "Avatar" where a person is "placed" into a different body, while the original body is safely kept. MMmmmm...... Did anybody see a movie called The Matrix I, II and III???
5) The staging of the Battles.... 2 battles, one small one (Star Wars, Tie fighter & Millenium falcon fight) Then, the 2nd big battle, (fight over death star)

Of course, I won't forget the concept story line of these advanced hi tech military people that have problems fighting the local blue people that use arrows to fight with win. It's such a Hollywood "I hope the underdog wins" kind of bullshit story.

oh, and the humans are on this planet to get some kind of rock? hello??? What does the rock do for us???? They make nothing clear. We need the "rock" for higher stock value? Lots of thought put in there.

The creatures on the planet looked original. At least they didn't totally walk out of Jurasic Park.

The ONLY moment of the film that was original, was when they would link up to the animals thru their little tentical thingy's. But for 3 hours, they just had the one thing and they used the concept to death. Every 5 mins somebody was hooking up with an animal. It was totally overplayed.

Yes, the visuals are nice, the CG work is fine. But as stated earlier, this movie has no originality when it comes to the skeleton of the film. Take away the 3D and you have a long winded excerise of visual effects with NO story. Nothing for the mind, only candy for the eyes.

This movie was clearly made for 15 year olds that haven't seen all the great Sci Fi that is out there, and add to that all the dam advertising, almost forcing people into the theaters....why??? because T.V. told us to go!!!

This movie is prime example on how to sell a product. Excellent promotion. They could've made another Gigli and it would've made over a billion with advertising like that one. Of course, this move was aimed directly at young people, and the 40+ generation that loves a good sci fi.

When Star Wars came out, people saw it in groves because IT WAS ORIGINAL. It didn't need TV commercials every 10 fucking mins to brain wash the world into seeing this blue cartoon.

Star Wars cost $ 9M.... this cartoon cost $ 3- 400,000,000 !!!!!!

It's a sign of the times that people in powerful places making these motion pictures don't give a dam about art or originality.

It's all about marketing. The creators simply COMBINED every hit sci fi flick out there and tossed in some hot CG and walah.... insta hit.

Star Wars + Matrix + Jurasic Park + Alien + Saturday morning cartoons = Avatar.

Why people are flocking to pay $ 16.50 for this over blown HACK cartoon is the real story.

This film marks the begining of the complete downfall of all motion pictures. Americans are becoming so stupid they are entertained if you just shine a flash light in their faces for 3 hours and "tell them it's a great movie because it said so on T.V."

Next time, make a movie with something called "ORIGINALITY."

I am so tired of getting ripped of when I go to the movies.

Oh, but if "BIG BROTHER" on TV says it's good, then I must be wrong.
